Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri, has signed the 2025 appropriation bill passed by the House of Assembly into law.
The assembly raised the estimates by over N10 billion naira and passed the total sum of N699.5 billion naira.
Governor Douye Diri submitted a budget estimate to the Bayelsa State House of Assembly on October 31, 2024, totaling approximately N689 billion naira.

The budget was approved with a 1.5% increase of roughly 10 billion naira, bringing the total projection to more than 699 billion naira.
While signing the budget into law at the Government House, Governor Diri expressed optimism about the positive impact the budget would have on the people of the state.
The budget highlights capital infrastructure projects in the state, particularly education, healthcare, sports development, and road construction.
The governor believes successful implementation of the budget will accelerate sustainable growth and development in Bayelsa State.
