The Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, has launched a transformative initiative to reform land administration, prioritising the recertification of Certificates of Occupancy (C-of-O) to ensure accurate and secure land records.
Governor Yusuf unveiled the recertification plan during the inauguration of the renovated Kano State Geographic Information System (KANGIS) and the administrative block of the Ministry of Land and Physical Planning.
Describing the reforms as a milestone, the governor emphasised that the initiative is geared toward creating an efficient and transparent land management system.
Speaking on the development, the Commissioner for Land, Abduljabbar Garko, highlighted that the recertification process aims to protect investments, resolve disputes, and enhance the reliability of Kano’s land administration framework.
