Gov. Mbah flags off road projects in Nkanu LGAs

Natives of Nkanu East and West local government areas in Enugu state have expressed delight over rural road infrastructure projects undertaken by Governor Peter Mbah to ease movement of people and farm produce in their respective communities.

Amodu-Apugo community is an agrarian community in Nkanu West council Area of Enugu state.

Despite its rich potential in agriculture production, lack of access road limits its development.

A native of Nkanu, Chima Owo is a grain and vegetable farmer, who claims he spends huge sum daily to transport his farm produce, due to lack to access road in the community.

The story is not different with Daniel Ogbodo and CHIOKE Anike, as they decry the rot they encounter daily, because of absence of road infrastructure to support their hustle.

The villagers regret they spend up to 2000 to 5000 to transport Vegetable bags to Eke Otu market for sale.

Efforts to mitigate the impact of deplorable road infrastructure are the reasons Governor Peter Mbah is embarking on this rural road construction project.

At the flag off of 90 kilometer road that connects Nkanu east and West council areas, Governor Peter Mbah highlighted the huge potential in Agriculture cultivation.

Major stakeholders in Nkanu land appreciated the government for embarking on these projects

The government train move to Nara Mupburumbu Nomeh 121kilometer infrastructure, community leaders relate with nostalgia how inaccessible road infrastructure limits there economic development .

Governor Mbah promised to deliver the roads in 5 months, explains the state is committed to redefine agriculture production for exports, hence the projection of cultivating 200 hectares of land per wards in Enugu state.
