Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has officially opened the newly built Imam Malik Jumaat Mosque in Suru Town, constructed by Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmad as part of his efforts to promote Islam.
The commissioning ceremony, attended by government officials, politicians, and Islamic scholars, including Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau, National Chairman of JIBWIS.
Governor Nasir Idris commended Alhaji Ahmad for his initiative and 
encouraged others to emulate.
He also acknowledged the contributions of JIBWIS and praised the Ulamas for their guidance and leadership under Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau.
Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau emphasized the significance of building mosques, adhering to Islamic principles, and using wealth to benefit the community and serve Allah.
In addition to commissioning the mosque, Governor Idris laid the foundation for an Islamiyya School, funded by Alhaji Ahmad, and commissioned a refurbished government hospital in Suru, renovated through communal efforts.
The Governor highlighted his administration’s achievements, including the distribution of fertilizers, grains, and CNG powered water pumps, and announced an upcoming empowerment program worth 5 billion naira, that will benefit 50,000 people.
