About two hundred youths have began the protest from the popular Tombia roundabout in the capital Yenagoa.
Carrying placards with various inscriptions and chanting solidarity songs, this is despite pleas from the state government, notable individuals and several pressure groups to shun the protest.
They seem undeterred and are headed to the government house.
Still in the State capital, Yenagoa, some youths are also embarking on a peaceful walk to the government house.
Calling themselves the prosperity youth coalition, they are clearly in support of the State government based on the inscriptions on their placards.
The crowd is headed towards the government house amid the presence of security agency.
