Abductors of pastor Isa Andrew, The Chaplain of All Saints Police Protestant Church, Mopol 42 Mobile Base, Gusau and his Teenage Daughter are demanding Sixty Million Naira ransom for their release.
The demand for the ransom is coming exactly one week after the clergyman and his teenage daughter were kidnapped at their residence in a community behind Karma Hotel, in Gusau.
The kidnappers were said to have attacked the pastors residence at about One o’clock last Monday morning and whisked away the pastor, his wife and daughter.
The wife according to sources was released an hour after the kidnap incident.
The police commissioner in Zamfara Mohammed Dalijan had last Monday confirmed the abduction of seven persons in Gusau, the Capital City of Zamfara.
He says fifty three patrol vehicles have been deployed to man streets in Gusau as the police is more determined to address the lingering security challenges affecting Zamfara.
CP Dalijan adds that security operatives are doing their bet to get all kidnapped victims rescued unhurt.
The kidnap of Pastor Isa Andrew is the second in less than a month and is coming barely eight days after the parish priest of St. Raymond Catholic Church Damba, Reverend Father Mikah Suleiman was released by his abductors after sixteen days in Captivity.
