The African Aviation and Aerospace University, AAAU, has held its inaugural Council meeting in Abuja, welcoming the newly inaugurated governing council members appointed by the federal government.

The goal of the meeting was to create policies that would modernise the establishment and support President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for Education.

Additionally, the institution welcomed new members, including Professor Abba Gwani Aji, the Chairman of the Governing Council, to guarantee that the organization advances civil aviation in Nigeria and throughout Africa.

The federal government inaugurated the members of the governing Council of 111 Federal tertiary institutions around the country on June 5th by the Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman, to ensure that the education system achieves the highest academic excellence.

The Registrar, Mustapha Sheikh Abdullahi, gave the council members a detailed review of the University, walking them through its establishment, growth, accomplishments and challenges.

The governing Council members were taken on a tour of the University’s cutting-edge facilities, which are shared by the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB).

The Council also went to the University’s permanent location on Bill Clinton Drive, Airport Road, to see ongoing development activities. The members emphasized their commitment to ensuring that the institution provides the highest level of academic achievement in Nigeria and Africa.
