The FCT police command has t 2024 has handed over Shuaibu Alhaji Yushau to the Social Development Secretariat for mental assessment and evaluation following attempted suicide.
On Monday, Mr. Yushau climbed a 120 feet broadcast mast at ASO Radio in Katampe, Abuja, and attempting to take his own life over what he called economic hardship.
According to the spokesperson for the FCT police command, if found to be mentally stable after evaluation, Mr. Yushau will be charged to court for attempted suicide, disturbance of public peace, and incitement contrary to sections 231, 111, and 114 of the Penal Code Act.
