Members of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities SSANU and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions, NASU at the University of Lagos, UNILAG, have staged a protest over non-payment of their 4-month salary arrears.
The protest started at the Senate building of the university, where the aggrieved workers converged to be briefed on the decision of the National bodies of SSANU and NASU.
From the Senate building, they took a walk to the main entrance of the University.
As at the time of filing this story, they were occupying the entrance to the university campus.
The aggrieved university workers reiterated their demands, which are immediate payment of the 4-month withheld salary of their members, non-discrimination between academic and non-teaching staff of universities among others.
