The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has promised to develop Idanre and other areas in the state with available resources.
Governor Aiyedatiwa spoke in Idanre, where the Board Chairman of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, Pius Akinyelure and others were honoured by the Idanre Development Assembly.
The hilly town of Idanre played host to eminent Nigerians from all walks of life, who came to honour the Board Chairman of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, Pius Akinyelure.
The venue was filled to capacity, as the APC Chieftain and others were honoured by the Idanre Development Assembly for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the development of the community.
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who led top government officials to the event, said he is determined to bring rapid development to Idanre and other communities.
This, he said, will be done with the available resources in the state.
Governor Aiyedatiwa described Akinyelure as a man of honour, who has selflessly served humanity in various capacities without seeking anything in return.
The NNPCL Board Chairman is elated with the award and calls on others to work for the development of the town.
Other dignitaries also described the honour as a motivation for advancement.
The event was attended by dignitaries from all walks of life including traditional rulers and top government officials.
