Persons living with disabilities in Osun State are to be enrolled free of charge into the State Health Insurance Scheme.
This is in addition to all the pensioners captured in the Scheme in 2023.
Addressing Journalists in Osogbo, Executive Secretary of the Osun Health Insurance Agency, Doctor Razak Akindele said the motive is to ensure they have access to health care Service.
According to him, the total number of enrollees has increased to over two hundred and sixty-seven thousand in the last six months including thirteen thousand civil servants, an indication that people are beginning to build trust in the Agency.
Doctor Razak Akindele noted that unpaid thirteen months capitation and service fees he met on assumption of office have been cleared urging al enrollees of the scheme to access health care in their preferred health facilities.
He also debunked the insinuation that Basic Health Care Provision Funds received from the federal Government was mismanaged by the Agency and the state Government.
