30 children who were kidnapped by bandits in Kasai village of the Batsari Local Government area of Katsina State have regained freedom.
The children were said to be on errand to fetch some fire wood at the outskirts of the village when they ran into a group of bandits in the early hours of Monday.
The Katsina State Police Command which confirmed the news of the freedom of the abductees in a press release issued by the Public Relations Unit of the command did not give further details.
