Eminent Nigerians from 19 Northern States under the aegis of the Arewa Initiative for Defence and Promotion of Democracy, have assured President Bola Tinubu of the Solid Backing of the North amidst pockets of Protest registered in some parts of Northern Nigeria.
According to them, the Protest is a sponsored attempt to discredit the Federal Government and it’s efforts at resolving Nigeria’s Economic Challenges.
President Tinubu still enjoys the support and Goodwill of Citizens from the Northern part of the country as they continue to reassure him of their unwavering support.
This also dispels insinuations of a distrust between the region and President Tinubu.
A group known as the Arewa Initiative is also an amalgamation of Pro – Democracy Groups from the 19 Northern States under the Chairmanship of Shehu Abdullahi Ma’aji .
The group has urged President Tinubu not be distracted by such protests it describes as unwarranted as they solicit the Continuous support of all Nigerians to ensure positive Change .
The group however insists that it is not opposed to any form of legitimate protest to express grievance against government policies or programmes, as long as it is done in good faith while maintaining law and order .
