Three person are said to have lost their lives in the renewed communal clash between Ifon-Orolu and Ilobu in Osun State.Two of them who were allegedly killed on Monday while the third person was killed in the early hours of Tuesday with houses burnt down.
Both communities have been at loggerhead over land dispute which resulted to communal clash in October last where some people were killed and property destroyed.
The situation thereafter led to signing of peace accord by leadership of the affected communities as coordinated by the State Government.
Meanwhile, the state Government Government has vowed to punish those behind the resurgence of violence around Ifon-Ilobu areas.
In a statement by the Spokesperson to the Governor, Rasheed Olawale, the Governor said those that ignites the attacks again will be rounded up and arraigned for breaching peace in the area.
The Statement warns that any traditional ruler found fanning embers of violence will be removed.
He also said security teams have been dispatched to the affected areas to restore calm.
However, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalolaiin a telephone interview confirmed to TVC News that only two persons lost their lives.
