Pakistan is hosting the Pakistan-Africa trade conference in the Egyptian capital Cairo to strengthen its economic ties with Egypt, the Pakistani Ministry of Commerce said.
This is the first time Pakistan is bringing 100 plus companies to Egypt.
According to the government, the fourth Pakistan-Africa Trade Development Conference (PATDC) and Single Country Exhibition (SCE) would take place from Tuesday to Thursday.
More than 200 businessmen from Pakistan, representing various sectors such as textile, engineering goods, food and agriculture, and services, will participate to explore and establish business collaborations, said the statement.
Furthermore, around 150 important businessmen and chamber representatives from the Middle East and North African (MENA) area will convene in Cairo, bolstering the chances for commercial connections with Pakistan.
This initiative aligns with Pakistan’s “Look Africa” Policy, which has previously yielded significant commercial benefits in South Africa’s Johannesburg, Nigeria’s Lagos, and Kenya’s Nairobi, according to the ministry.
