But the figure increased to more than 1 billion naira in 2022.

This year, the state has generated 900 million naira from the sales of tickets to the commercial motorcyclists and tricyclists between January and November.

At an event in Akure, the state government is rewarding the operators, through a raffle draw, conducted in a transparent manner.

The Acting Governor of the State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, represented by a Special Adviser, assured the operators of his administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for their operations.

The Chairman of the State Internal Revenue Service, Tolu Adegbie attributed the decline in revenue generation to naira scarcity experienced in the beginning of the year, removal of fuel subsidy and others.

Highpoint of the event was presentation of gifts to the lucky winners.
