Nigerians have been advised to take advantage of new opportunities opening up in various sectors to become Successful rather than using illegal means to leave the shores of the country.

This was the core of the anti Smuggling of Migrants Walk by the Nigeria Immigration Service in Lagos.

This is the Ikoyi Passport office in Lagos. Here,Nigerians both old and young come here on a daily basis to apply or renew their passports to be eligible for international travels.

Either for Short Stay or Permanent relocation, there is desperation especially among the youths to leave the country at all cost which often results to persons being smuggled illegally and given false hopes.

Concerned by the increasing number of migrants coming in and going out of the country illegally, the Nigerian Immigration Service embarked on a sensitisation walk which is a week long activity appealing in the 3 Major Languages against anti Smuggling of persons.

Even though campaigns like this are necessary to create awareness and reduce the risk, Nigerians feel Government should do better to create a better living condition for the citizens.
