At last residents of Ikeja Cantonment and it environs can now heave a sigh of relief as the bomb blast site of 2002 was today declared safe for habitation.
This is as the Nigerian Army brings to a close exercise clean sweep inaugurated on October 10th by the chief of Army staff.
Speaking at the venue of the closing ceremony, the Chief of Army Staff while appreciating sister agencies for the collaboration during the over one month exercise said a total of two thousand and fifty Five various calibre of unexploded ordinance were recovered and detonated during the exercise.
