Air force Officers of the Nigerian Air Force in Enugu, South East Nigeria has embarked on a 10 kilometre walk and jogging exercise.
The Air Officer Commanding, Training Command of the Nigerian Air Force in Enugu, Air Vice Marshal Usman Abdullahi said that the exercise was to help the personnel maintain mental soundness and physical fitness, especially at a time the country was facing the various cases rising insecurity across the length and breath of the country.
He said the physical fitness, mental soundness and discipline of officers and men remained the hallmark in military training.
Speaking after the exercise, he congratulated the officers for the success of the exercise without any casualty, noting that the physical training would keep the officers and men fit and ready for combat at any time.
The event featured exercising across major streets in the state capital and presentation of gift items to best performance participants.
The walk and jogging exercise is one of the important events in the Nigerian Air Force. It is held annually.
