The Supreme Court decision that reaffirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory in the previous Presidential election is currently generating varied reactions in Adamawa state political circles, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

A cross section of residents and political actors praised the decision and applauded the judiciary for upholding the nation’s democratic values.

The mood in Adamawa state, home based of the Presidential candidate of the ruling People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar was solemn, as the supreme court affirmed the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The verdict of the supreme court has now put to an end all the litigations from the out come of the last Presidential polls.

A cross section of the residents of Adamawa state interview by TVC News shared divergent views

In the same vein, some residents of Owerri, the Imo State capital described the judgment as victory for democracy while others saw it as miscarriage of Justice.

Some say the court acted based on the facts available to affirm President Tinubu’s victory.

They urged the former Vice President to, in the spirit of good sportsmanship, wait for 2027.

President Tinubu secured the needed 25 percent constitutional requirement in Adamawa state showing his popularity among the electorate.
