Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) is one key agricultural development approach aimed at sustainably increasing productivity and resilience, while also reducing/removing emissions of greenhouse gases.

The Public Presentation of the Benue state climate smart agriculture profile and implementation mainstream workshop is used to enlighten farmer and key players in the Agric sector on climate change the importance of adaptation.

The state Governor represented by his commissioner for Agric, Jonah Ogbaji shares more on works to be implemented by this administration.

Traditional leaders also embraced the task of enlightenment their subjects on climate smart agriculture.

With the prospect of climate change ravaging most rural communities in Benue State, there is an urgent need to move away from the conventional agricultural practices and evolve new agricultural techniques.

This will not only ensure that livelihood assets are sustained under climate extreme condition, but are made to also bring equity between the present and future generations.
