Kano police arrests 108 suspects for various crimes

Kano State Police Command has arrested 108 suspects for various crimes in three weeks.

The suspects were paraded alongside weapons, illicit drugs, and vehicles, among other exhibits.

It’s a few weeks after the Eid-el-Kabir celebration in Kano State.

The Police have been all out picking criminals who terrorise defenseless citizens in the state.

It’s been a successful outing, and these 108 suspects were arrested as a result.

The state commissioner of police who parades the suspects pledges the commitment of the command to continue intelligence gathering, rigorous patrols, and raids of criminal hideouts.

The Police Chief stated that out of the 108 picked up, twenty-four are armed robbery suspects, three are suspected kidnappers, and two are suspected drug dealers.

During the raids, two double-barreled guns, one Makarov pistol, and two pistols were recovered.

Other items include: Twenty-nine live ammunitions and twelve cartridges; six motor vehicles and four tricycles; two motorcycles; eleven mobile phones; 132 wraps of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp; and fifty-three forged letters of appointment for Kano Road and Traffic Agency KAROTA.

The Kano Police also believes this modality will end thuggery and has declared wanted sixteen kingpins in the state.
