Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina state said the best form of assistance that can be given to people is providing them a permanent means of livelihood.
He was speaking at an event where more than 2,500 (two thousand five hundred) Women from Katsina Central Senatorial District were assisted with assorted Empowerment materials.

Governor Masari admonished the beneficiaries to make judicious utilization of the materials given to them and to distance themselves from drug abuse.
The Special Assistant to the state Governor on Women and Youth Empowerment disclosed that over 10,000 (ten thousand) Women have so far received various Empowerment materials across the 361 political wards across the state.
The beneficiaries expresses delight at the gesture, which they said will enhance their living conditions.
The items distributed include grinding and pasta milling machines, bags of beans and wheat flour, cooking oils and a start up capital of N5,000 (five thousand naira).
