The Adamawa State executive committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has removed the party’s state chairman, Ibrahim Bilal, over alleged anti party, financial misconduct and gross violation of the party’s constitution.

Following Bilal’s removal, his deputy, Ismaila Tadawus, was sworn in as the new chairman of the party, with 24 out of 36 officers appending their signatures.

The party leaders decision was reached after  an emergency meeting at the party state secretariat Yola.

Addressing Journalists at a press conference in Yola, the state party PRO said that Ibrahim Bilal is no longer their leader base on  vote of no confidence passed on him

According to him as result of his  gross failure, they hereby resolved to invoke article 21.5 (vi) of the party’s constitution which vested them with the powers to pass a vote of no confidence on him this day of September 2022.

Effort to reach the embattled party chairman for his reaction  at the time of filling this report did not yield any positive result as he did not pick his phone neither respond to text message.
