The United States has formally agreed to sell 12 fighter planes and other weapons, including bombs to Nigeria.
Nigeria’s Airforce says the U.S. ambassador to Nigeria presented letters of offer and acceptance to it on Wednesday.
It added that the U.S. State Department would sign final agreements and necessary payments would be made before February 20.
Former U.S. President Barack Obama had delayed the sale in one of his last decisions in office after the Nigerian Air Force bombed a refugee camp in January.
