Acting EFCC  Chairman, Ibrahim Magu; Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS) and Acting Director General of National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Mohammed Dauda were in a closed-door  meeting with a Senate Adhoc Committee on Thursday.

The Committee was set up to investigate the recent fracas before the three security agencies over an earlier attempt to arrest the former DG of DSS, Ita Ekpenyong.

The Senate adhoc committee chaired by Senator Francis Alimikhena, is aimed at unraveling the circumstances that led to the fracas between DSS, EFCC and NIA last month at Maitama district of Abuja.

Before the commencement of the exercise, the DSS Director General pleaded for the media to be excused and for the hearing to be held behind closed-doors, to which the committee agreed.

But before retiring behind closed-doors, Magu said there was nothing like a street fight between the EFCC and other security agencies at Ekpenyong’s house.

He said his men went there to execute a search warrant on the premises but they were prevented by the DSS and NIA thereby leading to their exit from the premises.
