A fire in a southern neighbourhood of Beijing has killed five persons with eight people injured. The incident comes just weeks after a deadly blaze in the city sparked a widespread anger and prompted a crackdown against migrant workers.
Some residents in Henan province are afraid that the government will force them to leave soon without giving them enough time to deal with their products and personal stuff.
After the deadly blaze that killed 19 people, the sudden effort of city-wide fire safety has forced thousands of migrant workers out of their homes and businesses and ignited criticism of city government measures which were seen by some people as unfairly targeting the vulnerable underclass.
