The Senate is set to appeal Friday’s Federal High Court judgment which nullified the suspension of the senator representing Borno South , Ali Ndume.
The upper chamber of the National Assembly, through its lawyer, Mike Ozekhome, faulted the judgment, saying the trial court lacked requisite jurisdiction to hear the suit of the plaintiff.
The senate disclosed it would also apply for stay of execution at the Court of Appeal on Monday, and is confident the decision will be overturned.
