The Senate and the House of Representatives have both resumed work, after a two-month recess.
The senate had a two-hour closed session, after which it declared that Nigeria’s unity is non-negotiable.
The senate also resolved to look for a way of restoring peace in all parts of the country.
This is coming weeks after members of the Indigenous People of Biafra clashed with soldiers on Operation Python Two, in Aba, Abia State.
