ASUU strike: FUTA students lament

ASUU-Tuition fee -TVCThe ongoing strike embarked upon by members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has continued to paralyse academic and social activities at the Federal University of technology, Akure (FUTA) in Ondo state.

TVC’s Ayodeji Moradeyo who visited the institution and reports that most of the students, who refused to go home, want government and the lecturers to resolve the crisis amicably.

Some of the students were seen loitering around, in the absence of lectures.

The lecture rooms were literally deserted, as the lecturers complied with the strike directive.

The students want the negotiations between government and ASUU officials to yield positive results.

    students should understand that. ” he that want peace should be ready for war” Is for the benefit of the students. and strick I the only language the govt understands.

    The strike action is never to the benefit of any student. Asuu are only fighting for their own interests.
