U.S. Vice President Mike Pence has condemned the attack in Barcelona, Spain on Thursday during a joint news conference with Panamanian President Juan Carlos Varela in Panama City.
Pence said the U.S. and its allies would, “find and punish those responsible and drive the evil of radical Islamic terror from the face of the earth.”
A suspected Islamist militant drove a van into crowds in Barcelona, killing 13 people before fleeing, in what police suspect was one of multiple planned attacks.
Focusing on regional issues, Pence and Varela also called for a “return to democratic order” in Venezuela.
