Taraba 2023: Labour Gubernatorial candidate endorses PDP's Kefas Agbu

The Governorship candidate of Labour Party in Taraba State, Philip Munlip has stepped down for the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Col Agbu Kefas ahead of Saturday Governorship election.

He directed his teaming supporters to come out in their numbers and vote for PDP.

Speaking at a press conference in Jalingo, Philip Munlip said the decision was reached after a wide consultation with his supporters and other stakeholders of Labour Party across the 16 local governments of the state.

He said he has also collapsed the Coalition for Better and Brighter Nigeria (CBBN,) a support group for his Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi into the PDP.

The LP chieftain said that the coalition based its decision on the ideology of the Obidient movement and thus, the CBBN which is focused on ensuring a paradigm shift in governance.

Meanwhile, a forum of 2019 governorship candidates in Taraba State has thrown its weight behind PDP gubernatorial candidate.

Speaking on behalf of the group, chairman of the forum, Kefas Sule said that the PDP candidate is the most competent and acceptable among the various political parties candidates in the state.
