Police Arrest two in Zamfara for Troops Deployment Scam

The Suspects arrested by Police In Zamfara over Troops Deployment Scam

The Zamfara State Police Command has arrested two Persons for defrauding a Community five million naira to Facilitate deployment of troops to the area.

They defrauded Members of Yar Katsina Community in Bungudu Local Government area with the name of Facilitating deployment of security operatives to tackle bandits and to keep peace in the area

Yar Katsina Community in Bungudu Local Government is one of the Communities Suffering from bandits attack and Kidnapping for ransom for many years

The suspects are Lawali Musa ‘M’ 36 of Jangebe village in Talata Mafara and Jamilu Isah ‘M’ 40 year Old of Yar dole area in Gusau Local Government area

A press statement signed by the command image maker Shehu Mohammed says the arrest of the suspects follows complain received from the community and in the course of investigation, the Prinncipal suspect Confessed to the crime

Lawali Musa the prime Suspect says he collected five million naira in the name of assisting the Community to have security operatives deployed to the Community while the second suspect Jamilu Isah confessed that eight hundred thousand naira was deposited in his bank account

Investigation according to the police is ongoing with a view to arresting other suspects in connection with the offence

The Zamfara police command insist that all suspects in connection with the crime will be charge to court to face the full wrath of the law

The Command also reiterate that, deployment of security operatives to villages and communities is purely free of charge

The police also called on all and sundry not to allow any person or group of persons to Decieve them in the name of Facilitating deployment of security operatives to their areas, Instead, they should reach out to the Police or any relevant authority

They enjoin residents of the state to always report to the Police person’s with such charracter or any security agency for appropriate action.
