The Nigerian police Force has declared that the arrest of billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudi Dumeme Onwuamadike AKA Evans and his gang is a pointer to the end of kidnapping in the country.
Force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood made this known while fielding questions during TVC’s flagship breakfast program, ‘TVC Breakfast’ on Wednesday.
Moshood, while referring to successes recorded by the police in apprehending other kidnap syndicates, said the police is now better equipped in tackling the crime.
The police image maker called on Nigerians not to withhold any information that could help in tracking down criminals, especially kidnappers.
He disclosed that the improvised legcuffs recovered from Evans and his gang was built by a member of the society who should have alerted security agents of such a task.
Moshood vowed that all those who had helped Evans to evade the long arm of the law or who might have been an accomplice will be rounded up by the police.
