Governor Seriake Dickson has charged members of the Bayelsa Business Council to formulate policies and advise the state government on viable business opportunities within and beyond the shores of the country.
He gave the charge at the formal inauguration of members of the entrepreneurial body at Government house, Yenagoa.
Ovieteme George reports that the Bayelsa Business Council comprises young and elderly entrepreneurs who
have carved a niche for themselves in the business world.
Ephraim Faloughi is Chairman with Harcourt Aduke as Deputy.
Also in the team are Ambassador Godknows Igali as Vice Chairman public sector and Gesiye Asamowei as Vice Chairman, private sector.
Much is expected of the Bayelsa Business Council with a rich crop of established entrepreneurs like Timi Alaibe, Azibapu Eruani and a young generation of Moses Siasia and Elvis Donkemezuo expected to lay the ground
work for a private sector-driven development of the state’s economy.
The Bayelsa Business Council is apolitical in operation and also, not expected to function as a part of government.
