The Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, and other oil and gas unions in Ekiti state have suspended the strike they started, over a dispute with the state government.
They had gone on strike after government demolished some filling stations. The state government did that when a fuel station fire engulfed residential buildings.
But the industrial action was called off following a peace meeting by the Ekiti State government and oil and gas stakeholders in the state, brokered by the Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola in Osogbo.
