Five police officers have been killed and one injured in yet another attack in Liboi, a day after eight police officers were killed in the restive Somalia border towns.
The Kenya Red Cross said the new attack occurred between Malelei and Kulan when a police vehicle ran over an Improvised Explosive Device (IED).
The incident comes a day after three police officers were killed in Liboi and five others in Mandera under similar circumstances, raising fears that Al Shabaab are now targeting police officers.
More than a dozen police officers have been killed in three separate incidents within two days.
