Governor Aminu Tambuwa of Sokoto state has pledged his administration continued support for the activities of the Nigerian military fighting to secure the country from various insurrections.
Tambuwal stated this when the outgoing General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 1 Mechanize Division, Major-General Adeniyi Oyebade paid him a farewell visit at Government House Sokoto.
The Governor applauded the military for their efforts in ensuring peace in trouble areas.
On his part, Maj-Gen. Oyebade commended the governors and people of north-western states as well as Kogi and Niger for making his work as GOC 1 DIV a success.
