Isah Mohammed Ashiru, has won the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) gubernatorial primary election to emerge the party’s candidate for the 2023 governorship election in Kaduna state.
The PDP’s two-time governorship candidate in Kaduna received 414 votes in a keenly contested election, defeating five other candidates.
Among them is rights activist Shehu Sani, who received two votes. Shehu Sani tweeted on Tuesday that he will not pay delegates to vote for him during the elections.
He also took to his twitter handle on Thursday morning, to congratulate Isah Ashiru on emerging the party’s flag bearer after the Wednesday nights primary election.
