The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, is partnering the Nigerian Navy to improve security in the Nigerian maritime domain.
The agency is tasked with the responsibly of ensuring the Nigerian Coastal Waters are safe for trade and allied businesses but lacks the capacity to carry out its mandate.
That’s why it has singed an MoU with the navy to foster a cooperation that will involve the training of its personnel and the sharing of intelligence.
The MoU was signed at the naval headquarters by the director general of NIMASA and the naval chief.
