Nigeria’s main airport,Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, in Abuja will be re-opened next week after a six-week closure that allowed repairs of the runway.
The head of the government’s digital communications team, Tolu Ogunlesi, says major work on the runway has been completed.
The airport will be reopened on Wednesday, April 19th.
He added that authorities had taken advantage of the closure to upgrade some other facilities, especially, at the domestic terminals.
