‘Don’t molest innocent civilians’ – NSCDC boss warns personnel

TVC E. The Commandant- General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Abdullahi Mohammodu, has warned the operatives of the paramilitary agency never to engage in molesting innocent citizens.

He gave this warning in Abeokuta on Thursday during the passing out parade of  308 officers from the NSCDC College of Security Management.

They were trained in composite arms handling. Mohammodu said the corps believed in building the capacity of its personnel, in order to effectively carry out their duties of protecting government infrastructure across the country.

The Commandant-General who was represented by the Corps Zonal Commander, Zone F, Assistant -Commandant General Waheed Popoola, noted that the college has its focus on building professional capabilities for better service delivery.

He said, “I will urge you the graduands to remain focused on the corps mandate of protecting government’s infrastructure across the country.

“Do not molest innocent civilians, but always abide by the rules of engagement. And always remember there are procedures and standards in weapon handling.

“We will continue to train and retraining of our officers and men to acquire the needed skills to protect the country’s assets.”
