TVC News National Assembly Correspondent Sumner Sambo reports that they were demanding an unconditional reversal of the senator’s suspension.

It’s nine am and workers, parliamentarians and visitors heading for the  National Assembly complex approach the complex only to find the gates blocked by protesters.

The protesting crowd keeps growing as they make their demands for the immediate reversal of Senator Ali Ndume’s suspension through a ten-point.

The gates remain barricaded and no one comes out to attend to the protesters who maintain that Senator Ndume was unjustly suspended for six-months.

They described the procedures for Ndume’s suspension as vindictive asking Senate President Bukola Saraki to urge his colleagues to reverse the suspension or risk an impeachment.

In the first place it is a serious offense for anyone to accuse anyone without getting solid evidence against the person. (Be it a suggestion or direct accusation). It is what I call “Assassination of Character”. It is equivalent to murder. I completely disagree with the television telecast in TVC. I see the TVC as being biased in presentation of issues. They are currently looking like a government controlled television station that will soon loose credibility. It is important that both core supporters and opposition to any issues should be invited. Please do not use these words in your telecast, “They have spoken the mind of Nigerian”. Who told you that? I proudly support the senate suspension of Ndume because he tried to murder the character of his colleague. I support the Nigerian senate for suspending Ndume. This will ensure that before you bring up any matter that will destroy the character of your colleague you should investigate. If you claim that it is not legal, then what do you say about the invasion of the DSS in the judiciary? What about the breaking of shops in the night by customs officer? (This proves what some people said about Nigeria being a zoo. Is that not armed robbery? Are the customs not armed robbers? Why must they raid at Night like armed robbers? Where they sleeping on duty when the goods passed through their nose? Are you telling Nigerians that our constitution supports some government agencies acting as armed robbers? Doesn’t this make Nigeria a zoo where armed robbery is constitutional? THIS MAKES NONSENSE OF ANY FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION. Can we say that our own constitution is free from corruption when it supports armed robbery by custom officers? IF I WERE THE SENATE PRESIDENT SUSPENSION IS NOT ENOUGH, NDUME MUST PAY ME FOR DAMAGES FOR MURDERING MY CHARACTER. The newspaper and online source will also face the music. I THINK THE SENATE IS TOO SOFT ON NDUME. If the supreme court supports what Ndume did then Nigeria is actually a zoo like Nnamdi Kanu said
