Dickson signs Bayelsa education bills into law

The governor disclosed this while signing the Bayelsa State Education Development Trust Fund Bill and the State Higher Education Students Loan Bill into law.

Dickson Says Infrastructure And Human Capacity building require the sacrifice of not only the government, but also, the involvement of the private sector.

Ovieteme George reports that the Bayelsa Higher Education Students Loan Bill and the Bayelsa State Education Development Trust Fund Bill both went through various stages of deliberation in the House of Assembly before Speaker Konbowei Benson took it to Governor Seriake Dickson for his assent.

Signing both bills into law, the Bayelsa governor highlights the theme of sacrifice in driving the Education Sector to build capacity in the state.

The Ijaw National Academy Stands as a reference point of the state government’s investment in Education, in addition to building twenty five state Constituency secondary schools?with boarding facilities to take off in September this year.

Nigeria’s former Minister Of Science And Technology Professor Turner Isoun will be appointed Chairman of the Bayelsa State Education Development Trust Fund.
