President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Nigeria and is now in Abuja following his participation in the US-Africa Leaders’ Summit.
President Buhari, who touched down at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport Abuja was received by the Minister of State for the Capital Territory Ramatu Tijjani, the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali and heads of other security agencies.
President Buhari has been away in Washington DC attending the summit, organised by the US government for African Leaders.
President Buhari was commended for advancing democracy in Nigeria and Africa by US Vice President Joe Biden at the meeting.
He also urged African countries holding elections next year to conduct peaceful and transparent elections.
President Buhari took use of the opportunity to entice US investors to Nigeria, telling them that the economic environment is favorable.
