Zamfara state governor, Bello Matawalle has sworn publicly by the holy Qur’an, denying link with banditry and other security concerns in the state.

He says if he knows anything about banditry activities in the state, Allah should take his life immediately.

He dares other politicians in the state to do same and prove their innocence.

The Governor stated this at the Government House Gusau, shortly after being turbaned as ‘Khadimul Qur’an by the Centre for Qur’anic Reciters.

They were in the state for the National Conference, harping on the importance of prayers in resolving Nigeria’s woes.

Zamfara state governor noted that he knows nothing and knows no one who is propelling the crises which he describes as barbaric and anti development.

He says if he knows anything or knows anybody fueling acts of banditry, Allah should take his life.

The Zamfara state governor also instructed all members of his cabinet and traditional rulers to follow suit by taking the oath.

He tasked the Qur’anic reciters to continue praying for God to expose those behind acts of banditry in Zamfara and the country at Large.
