2017 Ramat Cup begins in Kano

Image result for Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria, YSFONThe Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria, YSFON has announced the commencement of  the 2017 edition of the annual Late General Murtala Ramat Mohammed Football Competition tagged Ramat Cup for U-16 boys and U-18 girls in Kano, the Kano State capital between from February 12 to 16.

According to a statement from the Federation’s Headquarters signed by its National Secretary, Patrick Okpavuerhe, participating states have been to ensure their representatives are the champions of the states.

The statement also enjoined all the state chapters to ensure they pay their affiliation fees to be eligible to be part of the tournament and supply the national secretariat with the recent passport photographs of their players, a group photograph of the players with a form filed indicating name, date of birth, age, body weight and height as well as the report of their state’s play-offs before the commencement of the competition.

All teams were expected to have arrived the Kano Pillars Stadium,Sabon Gari, Kano venue of the championship last Friday.

Speaking on the competition, National President of the Federation, Nasiru Gawuna assured all participating states that this year’s edition will be among the best organised Ramat Cup in recent times positing that the Kano State Government has assured that all logistics will be on ground before the commencement of the competition.
