Sanwo-Olu to abolish pension for ex-governors, deputies

Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has expressed his administration’s readiness to repeal the Public Office Holder Payment of Pension Law 2007.

The law provides for payment of pension and other entitlements to former Governors and their Deputies.

The governor said this would be achieved through executive bill to the State House of Assembly.

He announced this on Tuesday during the presentation of the 2021 budget estimates before the Lagos state House of Assembly.
