The Presidential Candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Adewole Adebayo, has accused the Federal Government of putting in place Policies that have ensured that Millions of Nigerians have been pushed into poverty.

He added that the newly released data from the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics has shown that the Economic Policies of the Federal Government has failed and has increased the nations’ poverty index.

Mr Adebayo a Legal practitioner said the report that 133 Million Nigerians are living in poverty is an alarming one that needs serious attention from all and sundry.

Mr Adebayo who was speaking on the TVC News’s Political Programme, Politics Tonight on Thursday Night with Olajumoke Olatunji, said the Social Democratic Party, his party has been the most consistent in the Country.

He urged Nigerian to vote his party in the 2023 Presidential Elections.

Mr Adebayo who disclosed that he was the one that raised the alarm over Crude Oil theft in the Niger Delta by criminal elements said the alarm caught people in government off guard with only a denial the initial response.

He however urged the Federal Government to come clean on the issue of Oil Theft.

He added that he was embarrassed by the denial from the Federal government on the issue saying that the Volte face that came was equally embarrassing when it came.

He expressed his belief that the Federal Government can put a stop to the Economic Sabotage that Crude Oil Theft is to Nigeria.

He said President Muhammadu Buhari who is in charge of both the Oil Sector as Minister and the Security apparatus is the only one who can put a stop to it by directing the necessary agencies to arrest perpetrators and block all loopholes in the system.

He disclosed his initial alarm on the Crude Oil theft as a patriotic decision not meant to embarrass anybody.

He described murmurings he has been having about an alleged move to deal with him over the matter as immaterial.

On his experience so far in campaigning for the highest office in the land, he said he has met a people in Nigerians who are beset by problems but who have also not be cowed or deterred by the issues affecting their daily lives.
