As Nigerians celebrate the 2016 Christmas, Wife of the Ogun State Governor, Olufunso Amosun, her children and spouses of government officials in the state have embarked on food outreach programme to all the three Senatorial districts of the state.
The team which operated under the aegis of the Uplift development foundation distributed rice and cash gift to residents of Ijebu Ode, Ado-Odo-Ota, Abeokuta, Sagamu, Obada, Ewekoro, among others.
Speaking about the significance of the exercise, Olufunso Amosun said the foundation is aware and concerned about the present economic hardship in the country and decided to make people happy and celebrate their Christmas with joy.
She noted that the foundation will continue to uplift people and provide succor to the less privileged in the society irrespective of their religion or political affiliation.
